Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea, Philippines, Indonesia Marshall Islands and Lord Howe Island.

Size: 2 inches (6 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits seaward reef flats rich in sponge growth and is usually found at depths between about 100 to 150 feet (30 – 45 m) and basically feeds on small fishes and crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Has various color forms, yet usually a mottled tannish body with numerous small brown spots. Has not been collected for the trade.
