Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Persian Gulf and Red Sea to Tonga, north to Japan, and south to Australia.

Size: 4 inches (10 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits coastal outer reef sandy slopes and lagoons and usually found at depths between 30 –65 feet (10 – 20 m) where it feeds on benthic invertebrates and zooplankton.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.
