Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea to Society Islands, New Guinea, and Marshall Islands.

Size: 2 inches (3 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits coastal coral rubble areas and usually found at depths between 20 –130 feet (6 – 40 m) where it feeds upon zooplankton.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.
