Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea to the Cook Islands, north Southern Japan, south to the northern Great Barrier Reef, and also Guam in Micronesia.

Size: 1 inch - (2.5 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits areas above branches of certain types of Acropora corals in shallow protected lagoons and usually found at depths between 20 –85 feet (6 – 25 m) where it feeds upon zooplankton.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.
