Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Andaman Sea, and Samoa.

Size: 3 inches (7 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy and rubble areas on coastal reefs where it lives with Alpheid/pistol shrimp and usually found at depths between 6 – 85 feet (2 – 25 m) where it feeds upon benthic invertebrate.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
