Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Southern Japan south to Queensland, Australia, and east to Mariana Islands, also Eastern Indian Ocean: Andaman Sea.

Size: 3 inches (8 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits lagoon fine and silty sandy bottom areas and lives with Alpheid/pistol shrimp and usually found at depths between 3 – 50 feet (1 – 15 m) where it feeds upon benthic invertebrate.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
