Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea and East Africa to the Marquesan and Tuamotu Islands, north to Southern Japan, south to Lord Howe Island.
Size: 2 inches (4 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabits coral reefs and lagoons and lives in small groups in the branches of Stylophora stony coral. Usually found at depths between 10 to 150 feet (3 – 45 m) where it feeds on zooplankton and coral mucus.
General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.
