Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: North Carolina to northern Gulf of Mexico and south to Brazil.

Size: 10 inches (25 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits steep outer reef slopes and rocky outcroppings and feeds on zooplankton, especially copepods near the sea floor

General Husbandry: Has a pale pinkish body with long streamers on the upper and lower tail lobes. Not purposely collected for the trade since it's a deep water species and not available until reaching depths below 150 feet (45 m).
