Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Taiwan, Hong Kong, Philippines, and western Australia.

Size: 5 inches (12 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy and muddy areas in shallow coastal estuaries to deep offshore reef slopes and usually found at depths between 3 - 100 feet (1 - 30 m) where it lives in burrows and feeds by sifting mouthfuls of sand to capture small invertebrates and organic matter.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.

FYI: Shown here for identification only, yet should it become available, aquarium husbandry would be similar to V. helsdingenii.
