Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Mozambique to French Polynesia and the Pitcairn Group, north to Southern Japan, south to Heron Island at the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef.

Size: 12 inches (30 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits coastal reefs where it’s usually found at depths between 50 – 300 feet (15 – 90 m), where it feeds on crabs and shrimps.

General Husbandry: Has a mottled reddish-orange body. Not collected for the trade.
