Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea and along east coast of Africa to Mozambique and east to Samoa and Phoenix Islands, north to Japan, and south to Australia.
Size: 48 inches (120 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabits lagoons, channels, and outer reef slopes and is found at depths between 6 – 200 feet (2 – 60 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans.
General Husbandry: Has a yellowish brown body with many irregular size dark brown patches. Not collected for the trade.
