Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: North Carolina to Brazil.

Size: 28 inches (70 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits coral and rocky bottom areas and is found at depths between 6 – 200 feet (2 – 60 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Has a pale reddish body with numerous dark red spots. Not purposely collected for the trade.
