Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Southern Japan south to Lord Howe Island.
Size: 20 inches (50 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabits rocky and coral reef areas and usually found at depths between 3 – 100 feet (1 – 30 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans.
General Husbandry: Has a light tan body with several mottled darker brown areas and a black saddle blotch on the upper mid body. Not collected for the trade.
