Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea to South Africa eastward to Hawaiian and Pitcairn Islands, north to Southern Japan, and south to Australia.

Size: 110 inches (275 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits areas near caves and wrecks, also estuaries and coral reefs, usually in shallow waters, and found at depths between 3 – 600 feet (1 – 180 m) where it feeds on small fishes, crustaceans and turtles.

General Husbandry: Has a mottled tannish body. Not collected for the trade.
