Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Gulf of Oman to Kenya, north to Sri Lanka and the Andaman Islands, and east to Papua New Guinea., Philippines and the Solomon Islands.

Size: 30 inches (75 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits muddy areas, shipwrecks and other solid structures and is mostly found at depths between 85 – 300 feet (25 – 90 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Has a light brown body with wavy dark horizontal lines. Not collected for the trade.
