Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Southern Japan and somewhat southward.

Size: 14 inches (35 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits rocky substrates on deep coastal reefs and can be found between 50 to 650 feet (15 – 200 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Has a whitish body with reddish brown or black vertical stripes with its pectoral and dorasl fins quite long. Not purposely collected for the trade.
