Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Christmas Island east to Samoa.
Size: 8 inches (20 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabits outer rocky reef slopes and can be found singly at depths between 80 to 600 feet (25 – 180 m), where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans.
General Husbandry: Has a mottled pale reddish body. Not collected for the trade.
