Range: Central Pacific Ocean: Hawaii, Johnston, and Midway Islands.

Size: 24 inches - 60 cm

Natural Environment: Inhabits lagoons and seaward reefs and usually found at depths between 3 – 200 feet (1 – 60 m) where it feeds mainly on algae.

General Husbandry: The male has an overall bluish body, pale blue on the head with a darker blue saddle just in front of the eyes and white lips. Female has a brownish body and fins with white on the caudal peduncle and the forward area of the tail. Not collected for the trade.
