Range: Western Indian Ocean: Red Sea to Mozambique Channel, including Madagascar and Seychelles and east to Sri Lanka, Maldives and the Chagos Archipelago.

Size: 30 inches (75 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits lagoons and reef flats and usually found at depths between 3 – 85 feet (1 – 25 m) where it feeds mainly on algae.

General Husbandry: Adults have an overall pale bluish body with bright blue tail. Not collected for the trade.
