Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea to South Africa and east to Easter Island, also from Southern Japan, New Zealand, and Australia.

Size: 14 inches (35 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits seagrass beds and usually found at depths between 3 – 50 feet (1 – 15 m) where it feeds mainly on algae.

General Husbandry: Males and females have an overall greenish body with dark brown on the scales. Not collected for the trade.
