Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Philippines to Solomon Islands, north to Marshall Islands, south to the Great Barrier Reef.

Size: 16 inches (40 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits lagoon and channel areas rich in coral growth and usually found at depths between 6 – 130 feet (2 – 40 m) where it feeds mainly on algae.

General Husbandry: Colors vary between sexes and its stage of growth (phase). Not purposely collected for the trade.
