Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Indonesia, Philippines, and north to Southern Japan and south to Palau.

Size: 12 inches (30 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits coastal and outer reef areas rich in coral growth with this rare species being found at depths between 30 – 100 feet (10 – 30 m) where it feeds mainly on algae.

General Husbandry: Colors vary between sexes and its stage of growth (phase). Not collected for the trade.
