Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: Florida, Bahamas to northern South America.

Size: 10 inches (25 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits rocky and coral reefs and often found in seagrass beds, usually at depths between 15 – 200 feet (5– 60 m) where it feeds mainly on algae.

General Husbandry: Colors vary between sexes and its stage of growth (phase). Not collected for the trade.
