Range: Western Indian Ocean: Comoro Islands, and also the Western Pacific Ocean: Honshu in Japan, Fiji, and Lord Howe and Norfolk Islands.
Size: 6 inches (15 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabits lagoons and reef faces, and often found in macroalgae beds sandy at depths between 3 - 100 feet (1 - 30 m) where it feeds strictly on benthic invertebrates.
General Husbandry: Has a pale brown to black body, with its head having filamentous growths and possibly three brown bars on the snout and under the eyes, along with several brownish bars on the body.
