Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: Canada, Maine, Bahamas, northern Gulf of Mexico, to Brazil.

Size: 12 inches (30 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits seagrass areas in bays and coastal lagoons and usually found at depths between 65 to 300 feet (20 - 90 m) where it feeds mainly at night on benthic invertebrate.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
