Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea to South Africa and east to Southern Japan, also the Philippines, New Caledonia, and Australia, and also found in the Galapagos Islands.

Size: 12 inches (30 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits coastal seagrass beds areas, usually under ledges during the day and usually found at depths between 10 to 300 feet (3 - 90 m) where it feeds mainly at night on benthic invertebrate.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
