Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: East Africa to South Africa, east to Hawaii, north to Southern Japan, and south to northwestern Australia.

Size: 7 inches (17 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits rocky lagoons and seaward reefs and usually found at depths between 3 to 1200 feet (1 - 350 m) where it feeds mainly on benthic invertebrate and some algae.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.
