Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: East Africa to the Galapagos Islands, north to Southern Japan and Hawaii, south to the Great Barrier Reef and the Society Islands.

Size: 6 inches (15 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow reef flats and reef margins with weedy growths and usually found at depths between 3 to 50 feet (1 - 15 m) where it feeds on benthic invertebrate and some algae.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.
