Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Persian Gulf, Gulf of Oman, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Burma, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, New Guinea, Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, Southern Japan, China, Taiwan, and Western Australia.

Size: 12 inches (30 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits inshore reefs and lagoons with algae containing rubble and usually found at depths between 3 - 150 feet (1 - 45 m) where it feeds upon algae and benthic invertebrates.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
