Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Persian Gulf, Gulf of Oman, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Burma, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, New Guinea, Philippines, Vietnam, Australia, and New Caledonia.

Size: 20 inches (50 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits coastal shallow areas rich in algae and usually found at depths between 6 - 65 feet (2 - 20 m) where it feeds mainly upon algae and some benthic invertebrates.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
