Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: South China Sea, Hawaiian Islands, New Caledonia, Samoa, Pitcairn, Guam, and Southern Japan.
Size: 10 inches (25 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabits crevices and caves on seaward reefs and can be found at depths between 3 - 200 feet (1 - 60 m) during daylight hours, and feeds at night mainly on crabs, worms, shrimp and small fishes.
General Husbandry: Has dark reddish colored body with white horizonal stripes. Has not been collected for the trade.
