Range: Western Indian Ocean: Endemic to the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.

Size: 16 inches (40 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits outer lagoon areas and reef slopes and usually found at depths between 15 - 130 feet (5 - 40 m) where it feeds mainly on algae.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
