Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: East Africa to Society and Marquesan Islands, north to Southern Japan, and south to Vanuatu.

Size: 36 inches (90 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits seaward reef slopes and usually found at depths between 50 - 65 feet (15 - 20 m) where it feeds mainly on zooplankton and some benthic algae.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
