Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea to Great Barrier Reef, south to East Africa and New Caledonia.

Size: 24 inches (60 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits coastal reefs, lagoons and spends the daytime in caves and under ledges at depths between 15 to 80 feet (5 – 25 m) and feeds mainly at night on small fish, worms, crabs, and shrimp.

General Husbandry: Has a silvery bluish body having numerous yellow and tan spots, with dorsal, anal, pelvic and tail fins edged in black.
