Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Southern Japan, south to Australia and Indonesia.

Size: 40 inches - 100 cm

Natural Environment: Inhabits flat sandy or weedy areas near lagoons and usually found at depths between 30 – 200 feet (10– 60 m) where it feeds on benthic hard-shelled invertebrate.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
