Range: Central Indo-Pacific Ocean to Fiji.

Natural Environment: Inhabits rocky areas on reef crests in depressions, cracks and crevices where its tightly attached to the rock and seen in moderate to strong wave-washed areas.

Aquarium Suitability: Rarely seen in the trade, and quite similar to C. racemosa, which is commonly called the 'grape' alga. Easy to maintain under moderate light, yet fish do not like its taste.
