Range: Tropical East Atlantic Ocean, and also the Tropical Indo-West Pacific: Red Sea to East Africa and east to Fiji.

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow coral rubble areas near shorelines.

Aquarium Suitability: Rarely seen in the trade. Actually a human food in some areas and used as medicine for its antifungal properties and ability to lower blood pressure. Not considered an aquarium species.
