Range: Europe, Azores, Africa, Asia, and Australia.

Natural Environment: Inhabits intertidal zones to a depth of about 100 feet where it forms spongy, but firm lumpy growths.

Aquarium Suitability: Considered an invasive species. An undesirable aquarium species.
