Range: Tropical West Atlantic and Eastern Pacific Ocean.
Natural Environment: Inhabits rocky substrate or dead corals in lower tidal areas, tidepools and on reef flats up to 65 feet (20 m) deep where it grows in tangled clusters.
Aquarium Suitability: Rarely seen in the hobby, yet when available its delicate form makes for an attractive growth. Does well in moderately lit areas receiving a moderate current, and requires balanced calcium and alkalinity levels that equal that of natural seawater, and well monitored magnesium levels.
