Likely Fish-Only Tank Suitable

Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: Florida, Bahamas, West Indies, Bonaire, Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico, and south to Brazil.

Natural Environment: Inhabit inner and outer reefs, reef crests, and sandy lagoons where it forms bushy growths up to 3 feet (1 m) tall and usually seen at depths between 3 - 50 feet (1 - 15 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Not normally collected for the trade.

Yet in aquaria, would require bright light for its photosynthetic algae, excellent water movement, and zooplankton feedings. Would be a difficult species to maintain long term.
