Range: North Atlantic Ocean and Baltic Sea.

Size: Column width 5 inches (12.5 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits tidepools and shaded vertical rock walls to considerable depths, i.e., over 600 feet (180 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Requires a cool water environment with rocks to attach itself, and hand feeding, e.g., raw fish pieces, shrimp, black worms, and is especially fond of mussel flesh.

Two to three feedings per month suffices in cold water environments.

FYI: Temperature range of 50 to 68°F (10 - 20°C).
