Range: Indo-West Pacific

Size: 1 inch (3 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits hard substrates in shallow reef waters where it forms small colonies and feeds on zooplankton.

Aquarium Suitability: Some look similar to a miniature bubble anemones. They reproduce quickly, and like Aiptasia anemones, sting anything they touch. Injecting it with boiling water or very hot Limewater will effectively kill the entire specimen.

Potential Control Species: Fish: Centropyge, Apolemichthys, and Pomacanthus Angelfishes.

Shrimp: Peppermint shrimp Lysmata wurdemanni.
