Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Australia.

Size: 4 inches (10 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits holes and crevices in rocky outcrops and usually found between depths of 3 to 65 feet (1 – 20 m) where it feeds on smaller fishes and crustaceans.

General Husbandry: The male has a pale orange frontal body and greyish rear body; with the female purplish grey overall. Not normally collected for the trade.

FYI: As of mid 2016, no home aquarium husbandry seems to exist for this species.
