Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Great Barrier Reef to Samoa.
Size: 3 inches (6 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabits reef flats and lagoon reefs and is usually found between depths of 3 to 65 feet (1 – 20 m) where it feeds on smaller fishes and crustaceans.
General Husbandry: Male has a dull overall reddish body with a black spot on the upper caudal peduncle. Not collected for the trade.
