Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Japan to the Philippines.

Size: 2 inches (5 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits rocky and coral reef intertidal zones and is usually found between depths of 3 to 65 feet (1 – 20 m) where it feeds on tiny crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Males have a bright orange-pink body with a yellow face and tail, with females a dull greenish-grey body with a purple tail. Not yet purposely collected for the trade, as they are rare in the wild, but would be a major colorful addition to those currently available in the trade. Colors differ due to age of specimen and collection area.
