Range: Western Pacific Ocean: Sumatra, Christmas Island, Philippines, Papua New Guinea, and the Solomon Islands.

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow reef environments and usually seen at depths between 6 to 65 feet (2 - 20 m).

FYI: In the wild, forms small submassive to encrusting colonies with its corallites having thin angular walls and a honeycomb appearance, and usually dark colors with white margins to the walls.
