Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea, Madagascar, Seychelles, Maldives, Japan, East China Sea, and south to Australia.

Natural Environment: Inhabits a wide range of environments, including rocky foreshores and usually seen at depths between 6 to 100 feet (2 - 30 m).
