Likely Reef Tank Suitable
Likely Fish-Only Tank Suitable
Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Widespread.
Natural Environment: Inhabits a wide range of reef environments and usually seen at depths between 10 to 85 feet (3 - 25 m).
General Husbandry: Rarely seen in the trade.
Generally has a tier-like growth and should be placed where its growth, which will encompass wide areas, will be unimpeded and be provided moderate light and water movement.
Even though photosynthetic, it should be fed at least once per week with meaty foodstuffs, e.g., fortified brine shrimp, mysis, products containing Cyclop-eeze, and/or other marine diced/graded meaty foods.
An occasional strong wave of water movement to help keep detritus from collecting on its surfaces is highly recommended.
Cultured specimens 'may' exist in the trade that exhibit bright colors, therefore ask under what PAR conditions it was grown in so you may continue to see it maintain its health/colors!
