Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Widespread.

Natural Environment: Inhabits soft sand and coral rubble zones on reef slopes and lagoon flats, and interconnected sandy reef areas that are protected from strong wave motion and usually seen at depths between 3 - 100 feet (1 - 30 m).
