Range: Western Indian Ocean: Eastern Persian Gulf and Straits of Hormuz, Gulf of Oman and Djibouti.

Size: 4 inches (9 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits areas near large boulders in tidepools and rubble areas on rocky coastal reefs and is usually found between depths of 15 to 100 feet (5 – 30 m) where it feeds on smaller fishes and crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Has a light tan body with a horizontal dark band. Not collected for the trade.
